Theodor de Bry, fue un prolífico y extraordinario grabador a buril , cartógrafo, editor y orfebre, originario del principado de Lieja, su obra es muy extensa y variada, en 1570 de Bry se trasladó a Estrasburgo luego de abrazar la causa  protestante y que sus bienes en Lieja fueran confiscados, en 1577 se le situa en Amberes en el Ducado de Brabante, entre 1585 y 1588 se traslada a Londres donde conoció al grabador y viajero Jacques le Moyne de Morgues ( 1533 - 1588 ) ,para regresar en 1588 a Frankfurt donde alcanzo su ciudadanía e incremento su máxima faceta como editor de libros.

Theodor de Bry, was a prolific and extraordinary engraver to burin, cartographer, publischer and goldsmith, native of the Principality of Liege, his work is very extensive and varied, in 1570 de Bry moved to Strasbourg after embracing the Protestan cause and that his goods in Liege were confiscated, in 1577 he was located in Antwerp in the Duchy of Bravant, between 1585 and 1588 he moved to London where he met the engraver and traveler Jacques le Moyne de Morgues  ( 1533 - 1588 ), to return in 1588 to Frankfurt where he achieved his citizenship and increased his maximun facet as a book publisher publidhing more than two hundred copies.
